Planting Capsicum.

I'm going to share with you the steps I followed to plant and grow capsicum in our home garden. You can have this vegetable for food, and it is cooked in different ways and added to other foods to make them tastier. When you can have them in your home garden, you will not need to bother to find them in the vegetable market.

The price of capsicums in the market is high, and in order to get a big economic advantage as well as a cultivation free from poisons, let's see how to make a capsicum plant in your own garden. Wouldn't it be great if we could get the capsicums that we need for our kitchen without being poisoned and from our own garden?

We can plant these in a pot or a bag. If you buy seeds from the market, do not buy seeds packed in transparent covers. Because exposure to sunlight destroys the germination power of the seeds.

A few days after planting, the plant may wilt. It is because of its root rot. Therefore, before planting the plant, the soil should be sterilized. Where the sunlight falls, the soil medium should be kept closed, boiled with steam, or sterilized by a suitable method.
Also, plants, like marrigold and citrus, act as insect repellants. Therefore, it is important to be aware of growing such plants around the capsicum plant. By growing such plants, damage from insects can be avoided.

Take a well-ripened capsicum pod. A red one like in the above photo. They are mature enough to provide seeds that can be planted. Crack it and take out the seeds.

Put the seeds in a cup of water. We want to select the seeds appropriate to plant, which means there can be seeds that do not germinate. Seeds that are floating in the water are not suitable for germination. So we get rid of them to get the ones drowned in water. They are suitable for planting.

It is visible that some of the seeds drown in water while the other seeds float.

Plant the seeds in a proper soil mixture in a container with holes in the bottom to drain excess water. Plant the seeds and place them in the shade until their leaves are visible. Cover the container with the sprouted seeds with something like a piece of newspaper. While watering it, put water on top of that paper.

When leaves are visible it's okay to expose it to sunlight. Expose it to the sun in the morning first, then get it used to the sun little by little.

22nd July, morning.

After, on the 6th day morning tiny leaves are visible.

Identifying damage to plants due to excessive water and solutions to save the plants.

Identifying overwatered plants and solutions to save the plants What is over-watering? Overwatering simply means giving the plant water, which often causes the soil to become constantly saturated, which eventually leads to root rot and plant death. Overwatering is the number-one houseplant killer and the reason people struggle to care for their plants. Signs that the plant is over-watered Wet plant soil Wet plant soil seems to be the most obvious sign that you have an overwatered plant. But this can be misleading.  Different plants have different water needs. We can say that knowing if the plant is overwatered does not entirely depend on the observation of soil moisture alone. Here, whenever we water our plants, it is best practice to completely saturate the soil and allow it to dry out until the next watering. Yellowing leaves It is also a sign that the plant is deficient in water. If it is caused by overwatering the plant, the plant will essentially drown as the soil becomes constant
